As 2026 begins, I'm filled with anticipation and excitement for what lies ahead. While the year is just starting, I'm taking this moment to reflect on the valuable learnings from 2025 and set intentions for the months to come.
Key Learnings from 2025
The past year taught me invaluable lessons that I'm carrying forward into 2026. Moving from Seattle to Virginia in December was a profound experience that reinforced the importance of adaptability and embracing change. It showed me that growth often happens outside of our comfort zones, and sometimes the best opportunities come from being willing to take calculated risks.
Building my SAAS project from the ground up was another transformative experience. I learned that creating a product requires more than technical skills—it demands patience, persistence, and a deep understanding of the problems you're solving. The iterative process of development, feedback, and refinement taught me the value of shipping early, learning from users, and continuously improving.
My work at Amazon as a Software Development Engineer II continued to push me technically, but more importantly, it reinforced the importance of collaboration, mentorship, and building systems that scale. These lessons in architecture, team dynamics, and engineering excellence will be foundational as I tackle new challenges in 2026.
